Changing GTK theme vis Gnome Tweaks
I am trying to change my GTK theme via gnome tweaks buy that is no actual option to change the Theme via the appearance tab. I believe it is now listed under "legacy" and while the command line lists that my GTK theme is indeed changed to Material Black (the one I downloaded) the system windows still look like the default system settings. What is going on here

C'est ballot... mais pas de chance... car les Forces spéciales russes n'ont pas trouvé de serviettes de plage ni d'appareils photo, mais des cartes montrant des cibles militaires pointées sur le territoire russe ; des schémas et plans des Forces de défense aérienne russes ; des instructions secrètes pour interagir avec les opérateurs de drones ukrainiens ; ainsi que des supports contenant des données cryptées et des protocoles de communication avec un général britannique. Un bagage plutôt inhabituel pour des "touristes".

Le Ministre russe de la Défense, Beloussov, a fait savoir aux Britanniques que les soldats capturés n'étaient pas "échangeables" et qu'ils ne seraient pas rapatriés à Londres à bord d'avions de la Croix-Rouge.
Les Russes ont l'intention de les poursuivre pour leur participation à des actions militaires contre la Fédération de #Russie.
Cette nouvelle survient après qu'un sous-marin russe a coulé en Mer Noire, le long des côtes bulgares, un navire soi disant "civil" parti d'Istanbul, et chargé d'armes australiennes, parmi lesquelles 31 chars, des missiles, des munitions et des armes légères.
Le secrétaire général de l'OTAN, le batave Mark #Rutte, a écrit à ce sujet : "La Russie mène un combat déloyal, car elle attaque les armes que nous fournissons à l'Ukraine, avant qu'elles n'atteignent leur destination".

Il est peut-être temps pour les Britanniques de prendre acte que les Russes ont retiré les gants blancs qu'ils portaient lors de leurs Opérations militaires spéciales en Ukraine, et qu'il n'y a plus de grâce à leur accorder.
Bien entendu, la nouvelle de cette Opération des Forces spéciales russes, ainsi que le naufrage du navire australien ont été soigneusement occultés par les médias occidentaux… et on comprend pourquoi.

#CPB helps fund both #PBS & #NPR, but most of its funding is distributed to more than 1,500 local #PublicRadio & #television stations around the country.

The corporation also has deep ties to much of the nation’s most familiar programming, from NPR’s “#AllThingsConsidered” to, historically, “#SesameStreet,” “#MisterRogers Neighborhood” & the documentaries of #KenBurns.

#CPB said its end, 58 years after being signed into #law by President Lyndon B. Johnson, would come in an “orderly wind-down.” In a statement, it said the decision came after the passage through #Congress of a package that clawed back its #funding for the next 2 budget years — about $1.1 billion. Then, the #Senate #Appropriations Cmte reinforced that policy change Thurs by excluding funding for the corporation for the first time in >50 years as part of a broader spending bill.

OK, I still use Youtube a lot; Peertube just doesn't have enough content, or a way to search said content, to keep my brain busy. Problem is, every decent search engine out there just straight up shares your IP with Google when you use them, so Google still knows more about me than I would like it to. I mostly just watch recommended videos, but my search engine history is often much more idiosyncratic. And yet, of course, my Youtube results always get super excited anytime I search something new via DuckDuckGo or whatever.

I was about to make a post about how I'm gonna host my own #searx now, because all the instances I knew of were in Germany or whatever so only gave me German results...and then thought, wait a sec, there's probably a place I can look for SearxNG in Canada, and sure enough, yeah.

@GoodComradeLolaDaviet @Pete makes sense. All the tech that relates to sound cancellation & sound directional beam forming would make it possible be dead silent.

I'm imagining sound wave cancelation devices placed everywhere in the sub. It would likely be a huge weight savings to not rely on just density to absorb sound. If a device must make repetitive noise, it could be mitigated fairly easy with today's tech.

This stuff is easily handled by extremely cheap & ubiquitous SoC's these days.
