Movements are made up of people in them. This is something that many people say and then do not seem to think about. Take, for example, vaguely-left fears that a "communist takeover" would somehow result in a rolling back of some of the (ultimately relatively scant) social gains that somehow (isn't this so funny???) always are things that radicals were proposing first and liberals adopted after dragging their feet for decades. If 999 radicals marched loudly and publicly tomorrow for X progressive thing instead of Y reactionary thing, and one so-called radical said "I believe X is bourgeois and we should have Y instead," you can bet someone online the day after tomorrow would be saying "the red fascists would see Y shoved down our throats! Protect X at all costs from the red menace!"

thank you for informing me about what people in China believe, person in a highlighter-yellow V for Vendetta mask. I had never heard of history before you brought it up, actually. Lastly I just want to thank you, I looked up "communism" on bing and just found a number of people saying that this "communism" is a bad idea, too. Thank god it's just the one bad idea that people know is bad, now I'm informed.

i'm so glad this brave white dude has come to save us all, from his position of knowing because he's... let me see here...

...a white dude who thought naming his business after them there eskimos was a big funsies-wunsies

thank god this nanook of the north is here to show us the way with as much grace and delicacy as he shows in respecting that native americans, including those in such tribes as the inupiaq, are actual people and not fun cartoon mascots. or with all the similar skill he uses in eyebrow grooming

If it were me I would simply not have an entire business based around a racist portrayal of a group of people I have nothing to do with, but what do I know, after all, I don't know anything about "history," and I lack the telepathic ability to know the political thoughts of all Chinese people, so, clearly I'm not coming from an informed position.

okay, that's mean of me, i admit. we should not criticize people's appearances for things they cannot control, or reasonably fix within five minutes.

instead we need to talk about whatever in the drop shadow boomer powerpoint nightmare is this web design that's supposed to sell anyone fucking product???

i don't think we can trust anyone's thoughts on communism when they are trying to be capitalist and are this absolute shit at it. this is not a website. this is kryptonite for any marketing teams. or anyone who wants a website with more features than what you can get from running an arduino in your garage.

i know linux users can often get a bit cheap and cheerful in the UI department, but i didn't realize it was THIS fucking dire, goddamn!

how am i supposed to trust the professionalism of any outfit that has a website looking worse than powerpoints i made in 8th grade?

of course, it's not about professionalism - if it was about actually making a good product, they'd rethink things like "hm. maybe it's not cool to use haha funney eskimo injun any more? maybe it's not cool to just casually use the image of a native woman in such a manner?", it's about the niche market.

all this "freeze peach" shit shows that.

this is a crap product. and the person selling it knows it's a crap product.

they just don't give a shit, because they know how to fleece the rubes. you put on a red hat, you mumble something about free speech, you put out enough "i, too, am a white supremacist jackass and will not judge you for it" vibes, and you can still get suckers to give you their money.

of course, it's a tactic used by cowards who are too cowardly to actually stand up and admit they're neo-nazis. that would make them very nervous. and, more importantly, lose them plausible deniability so they can pretend to be the victim later!

most importantly, it shrinks the number of idiots willing to pay them to unacceptable levels. and for a huckster, there can be no greater evil than that. when you rely on all the fools born every minute...

anyway the real point of this is i wonder if mr. "nanook of the north is what i call my hairline, actually..." here would suddenly stop believing in Freeze Peach if someone were to, oh i don't know, go write some reviews for his business that he advertises badly hither and yon that were perhaps not the most flattering. i wonder if he'd change his mind. boy it would be a terrible thing if his company suddenly saw its google review rating absolutely plummet. i sure hope nobody would ever do something as nefarious as that on the interwebs.

also yes i know i said i was going to not be so mean but sometimes the fruit is so low hanging it's rude to not take the setup gifted to you
