George — Information Security professional with 30+ years across the digital frontier, from dial-up-era networks to critical infrastructure. Early career: managed networks at one of Orlando’s first ISPs and secured systems for pioneering internet ventures, including the nation’s first internet bank; later roles at Home Depot and Southern Company. 25+ years specifically in InfoSec; most recently managed vulnerability management and PKI at Southern Company.

Progressive democratic socialist with deep technical roots. Fiercely principled, unapologetically direct, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Queer atheist who views religion as a major source of global conflict. Zero tolerance for bullshit; developed a razor-sharp perspective and lost patience for nonsense about a decade ago.

Political positions: condemns systemic injustice with the same rigor used in securing IT systems. Supports Black Lives Matter and trans rights; opposes the 2nd Amendment; wants accountability for ICE and DHS over human-rights violations.

Also curious and humane: finds wonder in scientific complexity, humor in life’s absurdities, and joy in intellectual pursuit. If you’ve been marginalized, questioned everything, and refuse to be defined by cruelty, you’ll likely get along with George.

In late 2025 I was diagnosed with, and began treatment for, ADHD.

The fact that my #Windows11 #clipboard suddenly stops working requiring me to either logout or reboot is annoying as fuck. Currently running #24H2 but this has been going on all the way back to #22H2.
