I have this weird feeling that the 4% increase in global energy consumption projected by the IEA (iea.org/reports/electricity-20…), is going to be used for infrastructure to make us consume more.

Yea infrastructure like centralized heating and cooling, or food production, or housing, it "makes us" consume more, better to be out in the cold naked and starving. Morons.
