@Robert Dinse @Melvin C. McDowell Well it passed part of the test. Part of what I wanted to see was the federation aspects of the post. I posted this on Friendica.eskimo.com and was able to see it and reply to it on venera.social. However, as far as my Pleroma account at melmc@nohost.me is concerned, neither your account nor my account at Friendica.esckimo.com appears in search on my Pleroma instance so I cannot follow either of us from there. Also, although I was able to add my Pleroma account as a contact on Friendica.eskimo.com none of my Pleroma posts are showing up on Friendica.eskimo.com. However, I am able to follow my Pleroma account on Venera.social and see my Pleroma posts there.

I do not understand how it decides what to show you. Might try e-mail from that node to this or vice versa to see if that makes it. There are something on the order of 4.5 million people on the fediverse so obviously it can't show everything to everyone.
I am still in exploration mode as far as the Fediverse is concerned. I am trying to find the widest network of like-minded individuals and the most reliable communication means. I want to be prepared to circumvent increasing censorship in the future.

That's why I put this node up, working on some others (mastodon, diaspora, peertube).
Are you familiar with Yunohost.org? It helped me succeed in setting up a Pleroma instance om a VPS after several unsuccessful attempts trying to install by trying to follow instructions which called for typing in a series of commands on the command line.

No, but I run my own hosting service (Eskimo North eskimo.com/) so can pretty much create whatever is needed.
