I love that we keep blaming liberals for this, when you can literally verify that there are over 5000 available permits for tapping oil wells already federally approved that oil companies are not jumping on.
@Joshua Lee You can verify that two years ago when we had a Republican administration we had gasoline that was $2 cheaper, groceries that were 20-30% cheaper, lower unemployment, and no mandates.
Two years ago was also the same time the covid lockdowns started, no supply shortages (yet), lower unemplyment because the antiwork didn't really start until 2021.
Those 5000 permits I mentioned are an actual INCREASE from what the Trump administration offerred. Biden's Administration didn't cancel any permits nor let any expire.
@Joshua Lee Yes and if it hadn't been for "your body my choice" Demonrats, we would not have had all the lockdowns, the vax requirements for truckers that depleted our trucker capacity, etc. And we did start to see a gasoline price the day that Biden took office and nixed the pipelines, and new federal leases, and granted they're not going to drill wells when they can't transport the resulting oil and gas anyway, also thanks to Biden. And now we've got food shortages as well. Demonrats never learn. They are anti-human.

Just because there's oil in the ground, doesn't mean you can get to it. Even if you can get to it, doesn't mean you can ship it anywhere if Mommy Government won't let you build a road out of that remote area.
Folks spewing "5000 permits" don't have a clue how a heavily regulated "free market" actually works.
@mudflap Yep, my view is all the talking points are irrelevant, what is relevant are the results, prior to Biden we had cheap abundant energy and were a net exporter, a week after Biden takes office we have shortages and are net importers.
