RHEL 9 is EOL in 2029 so at least until then they will support it. after that xorg will live on in a limited way in xwayland until there are 0 apps which don't natively support wayland. after that anybody who cares can continue developing it. not to mention that BSDs also still use modified xorg which will live on well beyond that.
