Progressive democratic socialist with deep technical roots. Fiercely principled, unapologetically direct, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Queer atheist who views religion as a major source of global conflict. Zero tolerance for bullshit; developed a razor-sharp perspective and lost patience for nonsense about a decade ago.

Political positions: condemns systemic injustice with the same rigor used in securing IT systems. Supports Black Lives Matter and trans rights; opposes the 2nd Amendment; wants accountability for ICE and DHS over human-rights violations.

Also curious and humane: finds wonder in scientific complexity, humor in life’s absurdities, and joy in intellectual pursuit. If you’ve been marginalized, questioned everything, and refuse to be defined by cruelty, you’ll likely get along with George.

Yeah but lawsuits were filed about those detentions so Habeas Corpus was still in effect. When Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus in the 19th Century it prevented anyone from filing any lawsuits to say that their detention was unlawful.

At least that's my understanding.
