in reply to John Doe • •n order to favor people of color, they will either 1) Have to pay pilots more to attract more in order to select by skin color, or 2) Accept lower quality applicants.
Logic dictates they won't do #1, so my prediction is after they crash a few billion dollar jets and kill a thousand or so passengers, they will nearly go under and then be acquired by another airline that has business sense.

A Flight Academy partnered with United. This is where the "hiring" will happen. Make it through flight school, hours and hours of flight time, pay or borrow $100k, meet the requirements, a very small percentage will get that far.
If there are Pilots of color fine, great, whatever, but it smells like Virtue Signaling.
