It seems to me that if the child's death is the result of of the government mandating said vaccine, then it absolutely IS the government's fault.

@diyer It's never a firm mandate it's a if you want this you have to do that. If you want your kids to attend public schools, etc. You have options.

Need I remind you that there are situations (such as with communist or socialist governments) where the parents aren't allowed to have a say in such matters.

@diyer Nobody is handed freedoms, you have to be willing to fight for them, and if you're not willing to do that on behalf of your children, well too bad for your children.

And as I have said before, not everyone has a choice in such matters (at least not in communist countries).

@diyer You have a choice, give up or fight until you either achieve your objective (freedom) or die. My take, not much point in living under those circumstances so better to fight.

What you say has merit -- provided, of course, that we have the weapons and manpower needed to follow through with that course of action.

@diyer You need to bone up on "asymmetric warfare". There are always means, look at what the Koreans did when the Japanese invaded them? They turned a garden implement, nunchucks or nunchaku into a weapon.

To be honest with you, I don't remember seeing the term “asymmetric warfare” before. I guess we learn something new every day.

@diyer Asymmetric warfare refers to a situation in which you have a small power up against an extremely large power. Another term perhaps more familiar is guerilla warfare though that is really just a subset.
