It's certainly distressing how conservative the Irish and the American voting publics are, always sticking to the Tweedledum and Tweedledee parties, despite their continual failures. In Ireland at least, it looked for awhile like Sinn Féin might come to power and offer the possibility of some substantial change. But now it appears that FF/FG will stay in control
