What do you think is the future of AI
What do you think is the future of AI?
The past 100 years have shown an accelerated growth in technology.
It is important to understand that knowledge and technology are not inherently evil nor dangerous but designed in their pure sense to enhance development and improve productivity.
If in last 100 years we managed to improve transportation amongst continents by creating and flying aeroplanes, we managed to create weapons of mass destruction (nuclear) and went on create computers and in less than 50 years managed to make those computers fit into a pocket or hand bag.
This is not inherently bad, it is something that was predicted long ago that it shall happen
“But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.””
Daniel 12:4 NLT
What can Artificial Intelligence do?
I will use a scripture references as a possible predictor of what the future of Artificial intelligence will look like.
“You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. ”
2 Timothy 3:1-4 NLT
1)Artificial Intelligence will enhance productivity and give people time.
It is already happening, factory workers are being replaced by automated robots, however this started long ago when we gradually moved to automated technologies of farming, packaging, irrigation and manufacturing this existed but it is about to explode world wide and here are the challenges that it will cause
- A increased gap between the “have” and “have not” one of the reason why people will become boastful and lovers of pleasure is because most high end intelligent robots and AI tools and machines would be only be affordable to people who are rich as a result this will create more opportunities for people to engage in pleasure which is destructive, they will boast because they will belive those who have access to money can fund AI robots etc.
2)Artificial Intelligence will severely impact our way of living and society
We are already in the pre-season before we witness massive cloning of people’s voices, faces this will likely create problems especially among people who are cruel and have wicked motives.
People will use Ai as weapons amongst each other, they will use Ai for the good and the bad in learning about countries and their military power, the wars wea re going to see from now on will be heavily influenced by the growth of AI and it’s embedded nature in our communities.
3)People will idolise Artifical Intelligence, betray their own intellect and drift farther away from God
It is a proven statistic that most people who are well off economically do not see the importance nor need of having a relationship with God, this is more common and present even amongst Africans who move from Africa to other affluent first world countries which have more stable economies, health systems and technologies.
If not handled carefully people will resort to Ai for explanations and assistance or questions people may have concerning their future, or present instead of pursuing divine knowledge and guidance for explanation.
