@baptist_joshua_on_youtube There is so much information and misinformation about Covid and Covid vaccines that sorting out the truth is difficult, but I know Bill Gates from my teen years when I fixed a bad bug in MS-Basic and offered him the fix to use for free, it also had the side effect of speeding it up by 40%, but he didn't want it, not invented here. And the bug in question was never fixed by his people either, to experience it add VAL(%something) as a basic statement and watch it crash and burn. So I know he has zero respect for other's opinion and zero concern for people's well being and only cares about making money and gaining yet more power. If you want to defend the likes of this that is your prerogative.

@baptist_joshua_on_youtube But where you search determines the outcome, you say you do not use Google but you simply search for the names, well if not Google then where, Bing? Bing uses Googles database, duckduckgo? Duckduckgo uses google's database. Swisscows.ch used to be a good alternative but now the first several pages of their results come from Google though if you did deep enough you can find results from other sources several pages down. You think these sites aren't all manipulated for an agenda?

@herve_02 You can, I ran a yacy node for about a year before the database blew up. Start on a few large sites, it finds links to other sites, and over time crawls a good portion of the Internet. Yes there are billions of internet pages, modern CPU's execute billions of instructions per second and modern hard drives hold TRILLIONS of bytes (terabytes). It is not as difficult as you make it out to be.

@poukram Yes but it DOES take some getting used to to learn how to use it effectively. You're only going to get results from sites you crawl and sites that you crawl link to however by crawling many levels deep you can get to a lot of sites this way but it will take a lot of resources. And you need to set the memory limit way larger than the default they have it set to, I found around 24GB was needed for it to operate efficiently, otherwise it spends all it's time in java memory reclamation and very little crawling.

@poukram It depends upon what you're interests are, how broad or narrow you want to be. I felt the mainstream media was adequately represented so I focused on alternative sites like above top secret, the government agency sites like cia.gov, fbi.gov, and nsa.gov, medical info sites like nih.gov and johnhopkins.edu, etc. They will have links to other sites, other sites will link to other sites, and you can have yacy index arbitrary levels deep.
