@Argyl Go elsewhere, honestly for the energy and effort I put into this I don't feel like getting a bit of advert out of it is unreasonable, if you do you've got more then 470 other instances to choose from, most if not all are slower, have less retention (we've retained everything since we brought it online in 2020), or have worse uptime, certainly few if any throw the level of resources at it we do, but if you don't like the top page splash that's your option.
well, I just can't get why you are so heated by what I asked you for. I have no complaints with the instance Friendica.eskimo.com because I find it pretty good: I've been able to register to it, to log into it soon after, I found the limit at 2 millions characters... so, it's all good, APART FROM that permanent attached top page I can't get rid of. Can I solve this issue with your help, please?
@Argyl I provide something totally for free. And apparently a lot of people are happy about it because it carries 8650 users, about 30% of the friendica total even though I'm one of 457 or so servers. And I simply have a top of the message blurb hoping some will support it by exploring and purchasing servers here, but some people just want everything for totally nothing not even the inconvenience of a 512 byte blob. I understand youth today are raised in a school system that rewards everyone no matter their performance, and we end up with a generation that expects everything to just be handed to them on a platter. It takes resources to run something if this magnitude and if people aren't willing to help with that then it goes away. And I'm not asking you to purchase something you don't need, I am asking people to at least acknowledge that, consider us if we have a product they need or care to support free speech.
OK, is there any helps at the instance moderation needed? I can't pay online for my very specific situation and nothing about that is out of law but I can provide the instance moderation for free as well, if it's needed.
@Argyl Yes can use help removing one particular type of spammer advertising online casino. I am in Washington State USA where this is illegal. Someone else removing users who do this would be of help.
