A friend of mine from High School (We're talking mid 1970's) wintered over in Antarctica for eight consecutive years to blast and drill for scientists there, he has a place named after an incident where he drilled deep into ice and hit some badly festered sausage that the Army had buried there years ago. It was under great pressure and sprayed out. He got badly infected requiring IV antibiotics but pulled through. They named the point where he drilled "Sausage Point" after this incident. Later he bought a house in New Zealand to retire, but unfortunately died in an apartment fire in Washington near Seattle while visiting a friend here. Anyway, never understood what he saw in New Zealand, but maybe 25 party orgies had something to do with it.
