got prescribed opioids and once again im reminded how much they suck. its the same as tylenol but with shitty side effects on top. don't get the appeal
doctors say it's a slipped disc in my lower back. it wouldn't have gotten this bad if it didn't happen just before travel, i was walking around all day ignoring the pain until it became impossible to walk at least i got to enjoy most of my holiday. they put me on gabapentin now but im wary because the last meds i was put on only made me worse
unironically what i feel helps the most is tylenol and tiger balm.
ah that's a bummer. i wonder if opiates are going to help at all though- they may make it worse by letting you aggravate it without pain and increase swelling. not sure what can be done about slipped disc other than wait for swelling to go down then strenghten the muscles and do back stretches every day
yea i really need to look up some exercises. first doctor i went to told me i needed to strength train and gain more weight. i was a bit miffed because i had gained like 5kg on that holiday already and the clothes i packed with me weren't even fitting anymore. awesome excuse to go shopping for new clothes though
5kg sounds pretty good- but more importantly than the weight, it should be 5kg of muscle and bone and stronger ligaments and not just fat. def recommend doing stretches every day to stay limber and some gentle back exercises when it gets better. all those muscles around the spine have to hold the vertabrae in alignment
@恵真 If it's the same as Tylenol then it must be pretty weak opioids. The last time I received opioids was for a colonoscopy and they gave me a milligram of fentynal. The doctor asked me if I was feeling any discomfort, I told him I could not even feel the table I was lying on, and that was the truth, it had completely numbed any tactile sensation below my neck. I think a tad overkill for the procedure.
yea that sounds a bit insane i dont think they would give that here. i tried oxycontin before but i didnt feel anything, and i think oxy is pretty strong isnt it? i tried tramadol and it gave me a seizure. codeine just makes me constipated. honestly for a colonoscopy i would prefer to be completely knocked out so overkill would be good tylenol has always worked rly well for pain for me especially combine with ibuprofen. i got so sick after being prescribed naproxen recently though that i dont ever wanna take an nsaid again
I'm "lucky" to be alive after the handful of times I tried it while drunk thinking what the hell why not 😏 it's a good thing I don't care for it. It's no fun and didn't give me any euphoria.
That's what the jews want 😏 what they did to China to convert them into opium den enjoyers so they could roll out communism and turn the place into a slave state building all the world's frippery.
When I was in the throes of serious Lyme Disease pain, my doctor prescribed me Fentanyl patches. I was miserable 24/7 and was like "This shit ain't gonna do nothing."
