If you are a man, unless you have a last name like Dickshit, why would you ever take your woman's last name?

Even if my last name were Dickshit, I would keep it.

What's the rationale for a man taking his wife's last name?

And for FEMALES (though I can't prove whoever votes in this)... what do you think about a man taking the woman's last name?
