This week, during CES 2024, Volkswagen confirmed that it would be bringing ChatGPT integration into its in-car voice assistant for MEB-based EVs and some of its newer internal combustion engine models.

But is Chat GPT really a good idea for a car? Is it needed? Is it just another way to make money through SAAS (Software As A Service?) And can AI be used by automakers in a more productive and beneficial way for everyone?
