@John Doe Flu never causes the kind of damage covid-19 causes. It's time to stop referring to a biological weapon as "the flu". People should be afraid and not dismiss it but by the same token they should reject scientifically unsound solutions or solutions that are worse than the illness.

@Robert Dinse If I'm willing to take the risk to be get infected I should be allowed to do so. The catch is they're saying I can infect others, that's where they got us all by the balls. I never got the flu shot and I'm sure I can also survive the coronavirus. But they don't let me choose for myself.

@John Doe Like I said, unscientific solutions should be rejected. Face masks only reduce transmission by 1-1/2 to 2%, all they really do is give a false sense of security and result in more transmissions. Also, the rate of asymptomatic transmission while it not be zero it is very very low. If sick people just stayed the fuck at home this whole thing would go away.

I agree, we should just treat it like the flu. Employers should work with the government to allow for more sick days and people should just stay home when they feel sick. European countries have more sick time than US and Canada already.
