Better to Feel Pain

The Lumineers song, "Stubborn Love", has lyrics "It's better to feel pain than never to feel at all."

When I was young I would not have questioned that statement, I wanted to experience life with the most intensity possible even if it meant some pain along the way.

Now that I'm older, not so much.
