Gaia: Oh my beloved self-centered humans...

Human: We're sorry for being so selfish. We never meant to kill nature.
Gaia: That wasn't what I mean by self-centered. Nature is adaptable. No matter what you do to it it will simply change and take on new forms. It has survived worse things than you.
You are however in the process of changing it so much that you can't live in it. You're not killing nature, you're killing yourself.
That's what I mean by self-centered. You think that just because you can't live, then nothing can.

@Erik Ableson The flaw here is that WE HUMANS are PART OF NATURE. We are not SEPARATE. When we fuck ourselves with stupid restrictions we fuck part of nature, when we fuck nature with a lack of care towards how we affect other species, we fuck ourselves. WE ARE NOT SEPARATE AND CAN NOT BE SEPARATED from nature.
