Eskimo's are the entire people living North of the Arctic Circle, it's rather like Asian is a term for anyone living in Asia and is a superset including Chinese, Japanese, Koreans North and South, Vietnamese, Indonesia, etc, it's not an insult, it is a broad term for people living in the region as is Eskimo, and the meaning was NOT given by enemies in the Bering strait and did not mean Eaters of Raw Meat, which until recent times would not even be an insult because lacking any fuel except seal blubber, Eskimos did frequently eat raw meat, the temperatures were such that bacteria didn't grow, it actually meant "Users of Snow Shoes", and it was in use by Greenlandic Eskimo's far before there was any communications with Alaska or British Columbia. Unfortunately, much of the original language was lost when French Canadians denied them the use of their own language. People who are ignorant like yourself keep that original language buried. I would suggest reading the book by Peter Freuchen called the book of the Eskimo's, aside from a better understanding of the culture before Western influence you will also get some accurate insight as to the language.
