@Steve In Texas The reason I started a friendica site, friendica.eskimo.com, and then hubzilla.eskimo.com, mastodon.eskimo.com, yacy.eskimo.com, nextcloud.eskimo.com, and pixelfed.eskimo.com, is that I got kicked off of Facebook and what at the time was twitter. This was before Elon, but there is no way for big sites like that to evade big interests so a federated network is the solution at which point I just quit worrying about what Farcebook and Twatter were doing. If you don't like how someone else is doing something you can ignore it, bitch about it, or do it yourself the way you want it done, the latter is really the only effective way to initiate the change you want.
