@Nanook And what has Iran been spending its money on for the last 47 years. Its people? No. Why did Iran slaughter upwards of 100,000 or more people that wanted freedom and a better life. Do some research and look at the reservoirs that are or have dryed up due to water mismanagement. Israel offered to help Iran with its water crisis to no avail. Where's russia and china? No one is coming to help Iran. It's not just about the oil. The middle east has been putting up with Iran for decades. Look at the proxies; Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis. Now that the bastard child has lashed out and struck 14 countries, even the arabs don't give a shit what happens to Iran and I don't give a shit either on what happens to the country. I do care about the freedom fighters and protesters.

@Kuai Nidoba What leaders do and what people want are not the same. I voted for Trump because 1) I wanted someone who would exercise fiscal responsibility and clearly that wasn't the DemonRats, but unfortunately clearly not the Repugnicans as well, and I wanted someone who wasn't going to start yet another war and so far two. There is not enough recoverable oil left to continue operating this way without starving to death, our farming and our food transportation rely on diesel, and tar sands are heavier distillates, oil from hydrological fracturing lighter, both have little in the way of middle distillates and they are depleting rapidly and instead of getting replacements in place we're squandering what is left killing people.

@Kuai Nidoba This is what you are told but it is a lie. When oil was first drilled, the energy returned per energy invested was around 100:1, back then you could poke a straw in the ground and oil would erupt out, but as the pressure decreased we had to pump it out, then we had to inject water to force the remaining out, and then the fraction of water to oil became to great for economic recovery, so we turned to hydraulic fracturing to get oil out of shale and strip mining to get oil out of tar sands, but hydraulic fracturing produces only light distillates, tar sands heavy, neither produce middle distillates like diesel, but that is what we need to grow and transport our food, and those are rapidly depleting, what after they're gone?
