@VIDEOK7 VideoKassette I'm not sure if they thought people's computer would explode if it could not represent the date just right or what. The only issue I had was with some old SunOS computers where SunOS 4.1.4 would print the date of 2000 as 19100 instead of 2000, it was a simple fix to correct that. Likewise, I don't think 2038 will be a big deal, I am on all 64-bit machines today and most of my file systems now are 256 byte inodes and ext4, and any that aren't will be by that time. The real question is will my body last that long.
