Anti-Capitalism


I am just not that much of a Capitalist.

I understand that the free market based theories accurately describes the circumstances by which business flows and the market booms, but it does not describe a world in which I want to live.

I also believe it is entirely possible to make the market subject to the desires of the people as opposed to making the people subject to the market.

Løvstuhagen What you don't want is a situation where a substantial portion of people are dependent upon government, because being dependent means the government has the power and you have no freedom. And government in general doesn't do a good job of managing supply and demand. Problems come when you have businesses influencing government in a big way or you have monopolies. We have legislation on the books that, if it were actually enforced, would prevent both, but it isn't.
