@willie959 A lot of the reason for Downs Syndrome is Mother's putting off child bearing until they've established a career. At 16, a mother has a 1-in-4000 chance of giving birth to a child with Downs Syndrome, at 25 that figure is 1-in-1200, by 35, one in 350, by 40, one in 100, and older Father's also increase the risk but to a much lesser degree.
