HP Scanners under Ubuntu 21.10

A while ago someone else mentioned having problems with an HP scanner after
upgrading to Ubuntu 21.10, and I had also experienced this.

Today I found the solution was to install the version of HPLIP from HP.COM's website instead of the version packaged with Ubuntu.
