@Spartacus Here is the thing that nobody is talking about. The amount of U-235 enrichment required for peaceful light water reactors is 3-5%, the amount required for weapons is 90%, Iran had enriched Uranium-235 to 60%, not enough for weapons in the next couple of weeks as Israel has alleged but clearly their goals their aren't peaceful.

Iran has sponsored terrorist organizations throughout the region, they've repeatedly referred to the USA as The Great Satan, and they've chanted Death to America, therefore as risky as this was, I see the reasoning behind it BUT it would have made more sense to allow the upcoming set of negotiations to happen and IF and ONLY IF those failed, proceed with this action.

I won't pretend not to understand their hatred for Israel, given Israels shooting six year old kids for standing in line for food, bombed hospitals, schools, etc, and frankly I feel the same way, and I understand that they don't like us for former CIA regime change operations. And I disagree with those actions, I believe Iran was much better off before the CIA intervened and so was the rest fo the world.

None the less, given that hatred, and the potential for our destruction if we do not act, we are rather backed into a corner. But again to me this would have been appropriate IF negotiations had failed. At 60% they were not close enough for this to be something that couldn't have been delayed that long.
