* Fire was caused by moisture ingress in a high voltage bushing which was detected in 2018 but got lost in the system. * North Hyde is an ageing substation which didn't have adequate protection against spread of fire * Heathrow didn't think that a loss of grid feed was a plausible risk, so they assumed 10-12 hours was a reasonable recovery time from that.

He didn't know that CO2 causes global warming, didn't know what a greenhouse gas is, and thought that global warming was generally a good thing because, at his age, he likes the heat. And it wasn't a run-away affect as Carl Sagan often stated, rather Venus has no tectonic activity and no sea life to recycle carbon into the crust, unlike Earth.
