Chris Martenson seems to describe what is happening not only in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and many other parts of the world, but especially the US.

I am sharing this video because if we can wake up enough people, perhaps we can change this.

I don't because prosperity is not a single hill, it's a random curve with fractal quality. If it were as predictable as you suggest, then when you buy a financial instrument it wouldn't come with the past performance doesn't guarantee future results warning. So it is with our country. And while things look a bit grim at the moment, I see the seeds of change, the first modern molten salt reactor being built, AI, robotics, being on the fringe of controlled fusion, new microwave geothermal drilling techniques, etc. 40 trillion debt looks horrid, but that's in the context of the economies present size and these developments could change that radically.

@bewild Debt is a function of GDP, if you're a billionaire borrowing 100 million is not a big deal, if your income is $100k a year, it is.

Where China, the US, and perhaps India, Perhaps France are landing is we're all in need of more energy than we have but we also have the technology to fix that, add to that the emergence of AI and Robotics and I think the economy is poised for a major leap, IF and ONLY IF it can quit being Israel's dog and pissing it away on wars.
