I don't because prosperity is not a single hill, it's a random curve with fractal quality. If it were as predictable as you suggest, then when you buy a financial instrument it wouldn't come with the past performance doesn't guarantee future results warning. So it is with our country. And while things look a bit grim at the moment, I see the seeds of change, the first modern molten salt reactor being built, AI, robotics, being on the fringe of controlled fusion, new microwave geothermal drilling techniques, etc. 40 trillion debt looks horrid, but that's in the context of the economies present size and these developments could change that radically.
