If black people really have an issue with white band aids, then as far as I am concerned they can just make all the band aids black because I really don't give a shit if they match my skin color or not.
It was not a clean upgrade. Grub got corrupted on one machine, one server didn't properly export the exports until I manually restarted the nfs server. There were quite a few broken NFS mounts. So, some things were back up at 11:16, and the broken systems were gradually restored with restoration completed at 12:07.
I plan to upgrade kernels on all the servers tonight starting at 11PM Pacific Daylight Time. Upgrades should be concluded by midnight. This will result in outages lasting 10-20 minutes for each physical server and perhaps another ten minutes for virtual machines on that server depending upon whether NFS and NIS properly bind after reboots or not.
A good steak is a good steak regardless of how it's named. But by the time Biden is done, gasoline will be $300 a gallon, a pound of hamburger $200 and a good steak $500. But we'll all be getting minimum wage.
Given that someone who is vitamin D3 deficient is 100x more likely to die from Covid than someone who is not, AND, given that D3 is produced in the skin in response to UV radiation, AND, given that UV radiation is seasonal, it does kind of make sense that Covid-19 is seasonal.
@John Doe No if these people can't kill us with a genetically engineered bioweapon, direct genetic modifications, they'll starve us out. They are suffering a serious shortage of lead in the brain.

The youtube-dl Linux youtube downloader is no longer working for me, nor is the plugin I have on Firefox. Anybody know of a replacement to get around whatever fuck-nuts screwtube has done this time?
i've no idea if they write one for linux or if it will work but i've used 'internet download manager' for years. might work tempory for 30 days without paying for it. (tho err there are ways, i'm sure you know)
Is there anyone here running a cryptpad node? If so can you tell me which port (3000 non-sandboxed) or (3001 sandboxed) is supposed to be Internet facing (via a proxy server)?
Mint has at least for the past decade disabled the Mark Updates function of synaptic package manager but until 20.x it was easy to re-enable by removing one of Mint's conf files. Now that file no longer exists and I have not been able to find out how to re-enable this functionality. Can anyone tell me? Yes I realize Mint is trying to force me to use their update function, I prefer to not do so.
Sorry for the downtime of friendica.eskimo.com/ and hubzilla.eskimo.com/. Something went wrong with mariadb and it corrupted mysql.transaction_registry and I could not find info on how to fix so had to get somewhat creative and it took awhile.
