Yeah but lawsuits were filed about those detentions so Habeas Corpus was still in effect. When Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus in the 19th Century it prevented anyone from filing any lawsuits to say that their detention was unlawful.

At least that's my understanding.

A Windows user whining about things not working is like someone who frequents McDonalds complaining about their poor health.

My cantaloupe harvest!

#GrowYourOwn #gardening

Two tiny cantaloupe halves lying on a wooden cutting board. A spoon and knife are provided for a sense of scale. The ripe melon is about 3 inches or 8 cm wide.
@BenAveling Did I? When? From what I recall democratic leadership changed none of their positions and by shifting their own policies further to the right they didn't win over any votes but rather legitimized Republicans in their policies.

Well, I'm really broke up about that *checks notes* rando who came into my mentions to whine about how there's nothing anyone could have done to prevent this even though their candidate ran as a Reaganite and significantly to the right of Joe Biden's winning 2020 campaign. I honestly can't bear the thought that we won't speak again. I'm in tears about this, and I will miss you dearly - honest.
