Language Abuse

I find this person to be left leaning and much of what he accuses the right of, I find more common in leftist speeches, however, being aware of the mechanism, from whichever side is using it, is important.

rotto Pureblood reshared this.

In High School, in Physical Chemistry, we had labs. Every time, the lab never really went quite right. They sort of worked, to varying degrees, to prove the "hypothesis" we were assigned, and everyone in class kind of fudged the "numbers" and "observations" to make sure the final report lined up with what we were supposed to have done so we would get a good grade.

At that time I thought us dumb kids just don't know how to do science correctly. Turns out this is EXACTLY how to do science.

Make them aware that the two nations with the highest vaccination rates, Iceland and Israel, ALSO have the HIGHEST per capita Covid-19 rates.

Also let them know that India, with just 3% vaccination rates has reduced it's deaths to less than 1/5th of what they were through the prophylactic use of Ivermectin at $3/person.

It is time the rest of the world, US, Canada, etc, have access to this life saving drug. It did not win the Nobel prize in 2015 for it's application to horses contrary to what mainstream media would have you believe.

Living Under Communism

This is from Pocketnet but so true thought it worth sharing here:

When I lived in ussr, there were no freedom of speech, everyone was communicating innuendo style. Here in USA, with all these Facebook, twitter youtube and other shit channels, everyone is speaking exactly as I remember, innuendo style. How fast shitheads learned to live in communist society.

in reply to Nanook

Well, I would say, unfortunately, not fast enough.
The "innuendo style" is practically unstoppable with zombies and AI.
It helps make and keep minds agile and independent.
And it usually outlasts the regimes it is developed to resist.
The moral with "freedom of speech", I am afraid, is much like with
many things -- those who have more of them know less well how to get
them than those who have less of them.
