Still that's a death rate of .068%, the average annual flu season has a death rate of .1% by contrast so still less deadly than your average flu yet we're treating it like it was an Ebola pandemic. The Role of Human Beings
I often wonder if this is what people like Klaus Schwab have in mind, nothing but flowers. The view that humans are just a cancer on the planet. I don't see us that way.
The way I see us is part of a super organism, Gaia is real, but each species on this planet serves a purpose just like the cells in our bodies each serve a purpose.
My view is that we, humans, serve as the brain and nervous system of this super organism. Just like the brain is the most energy intensive organ in the human body, so humans are, of necessity, the most energy intensive organ in Gaia.
Flowers are beautiful, much of nature is beautiful, even humans, but without someone to comprehend that beauty, it would all serve no purpose.
Even though many people view ourselves as highly evolved, I think we actually could go much further in our evolution. And I think the only way to go into the future is to continue to move forward, like Elon Musk seems to believe, rather than backwards as Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, George Soros, etc, would have us do.
In my view, this starving ourselves of energy to reduce Greenhouse issues only prolongs the problem, to the degree it actually exists, by preventing us from having the necessary resources to construct and to invent better infrastructure.

Today new cases were half of what they were last Friday, definitely peaked last Wednesday and an extremely fast upward climb and then downward descent it was.

Weird Firefox Problem
I use Ubuntu 21.10 Linux, Mate Desktop, and Firefox web browser. I have eight workspaces and have Firefox in the 2nd. However today it started following me to whatever workspace I switch to covering up what I'm trying to access. I thought maybe it was the upgrade to 96.0.1, so backed out to 96.0.0, but still the same behavior.
I wasn't sure if it was Firefox or Mate that got hosed, so I tried Chrome. Chrome stays put but all my passwords, bookmarks, etc, are in Firefox. Anybody know how to make Firefox stay anchored to one workspace?
Well now I know it's something associated with a profile. If I create and switch to a different profile it works normally but I don't know how to get all my saved logins, passwords, bookmarks, and history over to a new profile.
I restored my firefox profile from backups and now all is back to normal but I can not find the setting that I must have accidentally changed.
