A Linux upgrade changed openssl in such a way that the new libraries were incompatible with the existing compilation of apache2. I had to recompile apache2 to get it to listen to the SSL port again. Sorry, Ubuntu does not bother to notify us when they make crushing changes to system libraries.

Bullies don't like pain any more than you do, they just count on intimidation to prevent it happening to them. Once you don't let that work for them they are done.
Sadly, it seems teachers are trained to let bullies do as they want but if you stand up and fight back then YOU'RE in the wrong. It's insane, and I hear it's only gotten worse since I've graduated.
Wish I could do that in the adult world without getting arrested, as in my experience the bullies just keep getting better at bullying and the "teachers" (now bosses) behave exactly the same.

However that said, if I am attacked I will defend myself. If the attack is life threatening then I will use any deadly force available to me in my defense and deal with the aftermath when it occurs.

Yes, it sucks, but where I'm from if a cop didn't see them attack you first with their own two eyes (and later decides not to lie about who attacked whom first) then you either let the attacker assault you or you engage in the crime of "mutual combat" by defending yourself.
