I had a situation here where I could see other peoples posts, they could see mine, I could see posts I posted on friendica if I read them on hubzilla but I could not see them on friendica.
Finally found I somehow manage to ignore myself, not sure how but I was able to edit with mysql and remove the ignored flag after much chasing my tail.
@spacedream Once I identified what was happening, I put in a request for a fix from the developers which they have provided so it is no longer possible to ignore oneself.

@ndfree Yea we were forced to get rid of IRC when Electric Lightwave, where we had our equipment co-located, sold out to Citizens and they replaced all the solid Juniper routers with shitty Ciscos and kept getting flooded off the net. They were then bought out by Integra, which I don't know what it stands for but certainly not Integrity, so we had to move and moved into an Isomedia facility. It's now sold two or three times so far so good but pricing is getting less attractive so may be forced to move again. I have my own address space though so at least all we have to do is physically move equipment. It is funny though when we moved into Isomedia they were using Linux boxes as routers, when they merged with another company they put in Ciscos, and now the current company replaced the shitty Cisco's with Junipers so we've come full circle in that sense.
Kinda wondered. Did all the IRC cos. get gobbled up? I bet IRC connected more people to artists they never heard of than any other media, including radio. And if you found something you liked, the person's list had all the info. You didnt have to try & write it down before you forgot it. I bought more CDs in those download years in the late 90s than I ever had. & quit immediately when they started sueing grandmothers & babies for having d/l'd music go across their AOL account (usually without their knowledge.)

@ndfree Don't have CPanel, has root exploits, every site that does is hacked to death. Video hosting is possible but I really haven't found software I like. It does work with WordPress and some plugins. Looked at peertube but really don't like how it works.

We will be performing another round of kernel updates on April 22, 2021 starting at 11pm. Also at this time we’ll be taking mail down for some additional time in order to increase the amount of RAM. This should only take a few additional minutes. The logs are indicating some memory pressure during peak times, not enough to result in swap usage but enough to reclaim buffers early which hurts performance.
All of our hosting, shell, and email servers will be affected between 11PM and approximately 11:30PM though the individual downtime for any one of them should be ten minutes or less.

Having so much fun tonight, tried to install the latest and greatest wine from winehq, it didn't work well with winamp so de-installed, but something went wrong with apt and it deleted half the operating system.
After spending about three hours re-installing missing pieces and still not getting everything to work, I've given up and am restoring from backups. Argh!

The problem is if you tell hospitals if you admit someone with Covid-19 you get $19k automatically and if you put them in the ICU $41k, then you're going to get a lot of "covid-19" patients from less than ethical hospitals.

So far there have been incidents of neurological damage with Pfiezer, Moderna, Astra-Xenica, and Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
Further, 1/3rd of people who recover from Covid-19 have some degree of neurological damage.
This leads me to believe some part of the spike protein being expressed by the virus itself and by the vaccines MUST either directly be responsible for this neurological damage or results in the immune system doing neurological damage. There isn't much else in common with the virus itself and all four vaccines.
It seems the appropriate course of action is to determine what aspect is causing this damage and eliminate it from the vaccines before condemning more people to this damage.
I think the problem is in the spike protein itself. did no one think such a biomolecule might be toxic?
all the vaccines contain genetic code for the spike. and the Novavax does not contain an RNA molecule, but consists mostly of purified spikes. I haven't heard anything about it, perhaps it never got EUA. AFAIK a vaccine for no other disease does this --
spikes are like little spring loaded harpoons that respond to some stimulus (ACE2) and then open up and stab a little hydrophobic end into the cell membrane. after that undergoes another conformational change that pulls the viral envelope and cell membrane together, merging their contents. various other viruses do similar things -- the syncytia viruses cause neighboring host cells to stick together with such spikes.
I suspect it is the spikes doing this damage -- the vaccine does not make virus particles but just loose spikes circulating in the blood. (and blood clots can account for a lot of secondary damage)

Maybe gay bats, I dunno, but the fact that Fauci was working on Corona viruses at Fort Deitrich, then was denied permission to do gain of function research there so contracted a lab in Wuhan to do it, then the outbreak happens in Wuhan. Coincidence? I think not.
Now the AIDS spike protein resembled a protein on the surface of CD4 cells and that's why it kills them, actually it gets the immune system to kill itself. I wonder if perhaps there is something in the Covid-19 spike that looks like nerve tissue surface proteins.
and I'm pretty sure that viruses evolved these spikes themselves, they have had a long tome to work on them. the biologists are still pretty new to protein folding and this thing works like a mousetrap.
the clever thing the molecular biologists did was to dissect out the code for the spike and put it in the vaccine.

in one of the less popular functions of cellular protein metabolism, defective, damaged, and mis-folded proteins are chopped into short segments by this little molecular machine. some of these segments, of 8 to 12 peptides length, are presented at the cell surface to elements of the immune system. the immune system has a memory, and a library, of these segments -- some of them are from self-proteins and some may be viral, if the cell is infected. the immune system does an amazing job of profiling each cell and tissue from these segments.
the lesson to be learned here is that the antigen does not have to be always-present at the surface of the virus. maybe the receptor binding domain is a good choice of antigen, but maybe it is not. the RBD tends to change with mutation, while many other viral proteins are 'conserved', meaning that any mutation would change their structure and render the resulting virus non-viable. some areas of the spike are also conserved, the ones making up the little springs and levers of this molecular weapon. these tend to be harder for the immune system to 'see', being down along the side of the spike and not at the tip.
I surely do not know whether there is a better epitope, but I strongly suspect that these vaccine-related clotting events have something to do with the choice. the obvious advantage of spike is that it is always present on the virus, while that protein-degrading-presenting function would only apply to infected cells after the virus gets into them.
@Robert Dinse some Corona family viruses enter the cell via an endosome. it's not believed that this is a significant route in SARS-Cov2.
and, there are other considerations when choosing an epitope, other than 'spiky looking thing' ... you want something unique to the virus and distinct from most human proteins. granted, the spike probably has some of those. like you said in another comment, the spike has several potential epitopes. maybe one of them is problematic for human immune systems.
I just think that a bit more research should have been done on this.

Listening to CBC radio, they are telling people to wear sunscreen. 99% of people who end up in the ICU with Covid-19 are vitamin D3 deficient. Vitamin D3 is mostly made in the skin in response to UV light. This is NOT the time for sunscreen.
Unfortunately, the climate and latitude of Canada makes the sun kind of tricky. We just had 6-8 months of winter where your skin has turned white from no sun and wearing clothes. Now you want to be outside so much that it causes a sunburn pretty easily. Going from 0-100 is not fun for your body.
I think a blend would be helpful. Maybe 30 minutes of nude/semi-nude sunbathing and then lather up the sunscreen after that. I never had much of a problem with sunburns when I lived in Texas on my face and other areas. Now that I'm up near Canada, I'm having a lot of problems with sunburns.
