Bannon's show yesterday talked about the coming debt ceiling and how American needs to call in the $5 trillion owned to it by the CCP. 20% of USD has been printed in 2020. Other countries have done similar things. We're pretty close to hyper-inflation and all money being worthless.

The great reset is only for the peasants. A 40 year old with 80 ~ 200k in retirement accounts would lose everything. A Bezos or Musk with their vast industrial resources, would lose virtually nothing.

in reply to Nanook

Ah, sorry, again, as you mention big data: I do see this as a problem here too, of course. But that's why I'm on diaspora, not on Facebook.

And I just don't care why maybe people like Zuckerberg and such do what they do. I just criticize THAT they do it and I can exactly say WHAT I don't want about it (censorship, propaganda, concentration of too much money and influence...) We can easily argue and justify this, and we don't need much else for this.

in reply to Nanook

I have indicated that I do think there's "a globalization in this". I don't think it will make much difference when we go to elections this Sunday. There is obviously some kind of global elite, some "international jetset" that was already well known for trying to make big economy independent of states and voter interests. And now there's a clear impression that also political parties in many countries and from many political directions seem to be playing a similar globalized game.

I just don't really know who these people are, apart from those we see in front of the cameras. I don't know who is how much independent from whom -- I mean, no doubt the German Chancellor, whoever that would be, could still do whatever he wants. There are pressures to conform, internationally. But how does that work? Who has how much more to say than who? I assume that even the US-president is far from deciding what he wants, probably not even knows about many things that thousands of secret service agents and top military handle -- secretly.

It's for most people not very acceptable to claim, there is like a small group of 300 or whatever, who dictates everything. And in fact, I don't think this is very likely. Things are usually much more complicated, I think. But much more: Does it really interest me? What interests me, and what is our job as ordinary people, I think, is to say "These are my rights. You took them away from me, and I blame you, politician, for this. And I demand my rights back." Why some bad guys stick together and what they're having in mind maybe -- it's not my business in the first place.

On blocking: I try, saying again, to argue things that I think I have good reason for saying. If someone blocks me for that, he's obviously not interested in reasonable discussion and that's not my place to be then. Can't help it. But that's also why I try to avoid too much speculation, where I might have to say "No, he's right, I don't know anything about it, just claimed it."

Memories Performed by Jennifer Hudson from Cats

I don't know what people didn't like about this movie. The musical score was awesome, the costumes were fun, the plot perhaps a bit whimsical but fun.
in reply to Christian Bredlow

@Christian Bredlow 🌿 You know in Washington we have a Governor, Jay Inslee, who started as a state representative and had a local office half a mile from me and I used to drop in and talk to him fairly often. He was quite a well intended and decent person in the beginning, but now he is a libtard tyrant dictator whom I can't stand. The old saying is absolute power corrupts absolutely and I'm not seeing too many exception to this.

Kernel Upgrades Tonight

Posted on September 21, 2021

Because Ubuntu just locked up and because this time I got an indication it was an issue with the hypervisor and physical host, I am going to be upgrading the following machine kernels early this evening around 11:30PM:

Iglulik (has NFS /home and /misc directories), ftp, debian, ubuntu, and mint. These will all be down briefly, the web server longer than the others.

Web services including all our virtual hosts, friendica.eskimo.com/, hubzilla.eskimo.com/, nextcloud.eskimo.com/, and all webmail services as well as our own website, eskikmo.com/ will be affected.

Kernel Upgrades – Friday September 24th 11pm-12 midnight Pacific Daylight Time

Posted on September 21, 2021

We’ll be doing kernel upgrades of all machines this coming Friday starting at 11pm. Interruption to most services should be relatively brief, however, web based services may take approximately 1/2 hour to restore. This is because I’ll be reverting the physical host to a 5.13.19 kernel (presently the only host on 5.14) as 5.14 did not fix the ethernet issue AND has proven to be less than stable. Because a different driver for the flash card is required for 5.14 to 5.13 I can not use the dkms mechanism to compile this driver and because to compile it fresh the machine needs to be running the kernel upon which the driver is running, I will need to first reboot the physical host to 5.13, (it will be the 5.13.19 EOL kernel) and then recompile the drivers, then bring up the web server. From previous experience this process requires around 1/2 hour.

Web service includes all our virtual hosts, friendica.eskimo.com/, hubzilla.eskimo.com/, nextcloud.eskimo.com/, and all webmail services as well as our own website, eskikmo.com/.

My Latest Letter to Senatory Patty Murray

While Americans continue to die needlessly, it is not lost on me that you've ignored my last three e-mails.

Please take a look at this video which details the results of the best meta-study to date:

youtube.com/watch?v=3j7am9kjMr…

Reduces mortality by 62%, transmission by 86%, and it doesn't matter what variant.

I'm sure you get a lot of funding from Bill Gates and company, hence the reason for your opposition is obvious but when it comes to light that you are in part responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans, how's that going to go over in the next election cycle?
