High Power Home Audio

My last receiver, an Aiwa AV-DV75 burned up (power supply bit the dust), and I'm looking for a replacement but finding high power home audio gear next to non-existent anymore. I used the Aiwa in two channel mode which in that mode provided 170 watts RMS per channel both channels driven. That was adequate. I replaced it with a smaller unit that is 120 watts RMS per channel but doesn't really do an adequate job, in particular my speakers impedance tends to take a dive at around 45Hz so an amplifier that can't drive adequate current just wimps out on the bass. I'd like to find something in the 300 watt per channel range but except for automotive gear this power level appears non-existent anymore. Anyone got any recommendations?

Denninger has an excellent analysis, as he always does:

By forensic evidence, not presented and unrebutted, the outcome of the election in Arizona was falsely certified.

What's the remedy for this?

That's a separate debate -- but that this one county alone did in fact corrupt their election, did so intentionally, and did so in such a fashion that at this time it not possible to know what the result actually was is not subject to reasonable dispute.

Web Server Outage 16:35-16:45 Sept 25th

Posted on September 25, 2021

A Linux upgrade changed openssl in such a way that the new libraries were incompatible with the existing compilation of apache2. I had to recompile apache2 to get it to listen to the SSL port again. Sorry, Ubuntu does not bother to notify us when they make crushing changes to system libraries.

This briefly affected all of Eskimo North’s SSL and HTTP/2 web services including webmail, friendica, hubzilla, and nextcloud.

1.) Even everyone can buy a 3D printer (and not everyone in Australia can), ammo is going to be in short supply.

2.) If people start using plastic guns-- which have a limited use before they're innefective as weapons --the Australian government will ramp up and start using lethal and more powerful weapons on their citizenry.

You're naive, even if well intentioned.

Australia is lost. Probably China owns the Australian leadership, who knows. But, as a free democracy, Australia is gone. Forever.

Too bad, because Australia used to be a nice place to live.
