Anti-Capitalism
I am just not that much of a Capitalist.
I understand that the free market based theories accurately describes the circumstances by which business flows and the market booms, but it does not describe a world in which I want to live.
I also believe it is entirely possible to make the market subject to the desires of the people as opposed to making the people subject to the market.

in reply to Nanook • •I am definitely not a Communist but I believe that the economy can be regulated effectively, and it can certainly be taxed.
Businesses today are taxed at rates that far surpass what was normal in the old days, yet the market thrives.

in reply to Nanook • •Right, that is not what I think anyone wants - I do not want people dependent on the government for handouts, but I also do not want corporations acting tyrannically and establishing monopolies.
The government should protect us from others and that includes the predatory practices of industry.
